Yes, there still is a television channel out there that offers wholesome entertainment for rural American families as well as urban dwellers who appreciate the basic values and heritage of rural America. The RFD-TV network, based in Branson, Missouri is such a network offering programming like Ralph Emery Live, Crook and Chase, country music performances originating from Branson, bluegrass music from right here in western Kentucky, and of course, a myriad of programming about farming and ranching. The RFD-TV network has been on satellite, Direct-TV and the Dish Network, for years, and now some cable providers, e.g., Mediacom and Comcast, are offering it in their channel lineups. Currently, the RFD-TV network is not offered on Time Warner Cable, and you as a subscriber to Time Warner Cable or a potential customer living in an area that is served by Time Warner Cable may be able to help correct this programming omission. Please contact your local office of Time Warner Cable by telephone or by letter to the general manager and ask that the RFD-TV network be added to their Broadcast Basic (below channel 100) channel lineup and that the high definition station, RFD-HD, be added to the basic high definition programming when available. Another way to bring this to the attention of Time Warner Cable is to print a copy or copies of a petition which is available here for download as a pdf document, and then sign it and have your family and friends sign also, and then mail it to the address provided at the bottom of the page. You should only sign the petition if you are a Time Warner Cable subscriber or are currently living in an area where Time Warner Cable is available to you. Thanks for your help! Jim Mason
