Janie
has been a ventriloquist since the age of nine when she received her first
puppet, a Jerry Mahoney doll, ordered from the Sears & Roebuck catalog for
Christmas. She grew up on a tobacco and cattle farm in Robertson County,
Kentucky; graduated from Deming High School in Mt. Olivet, and received her B.A.
degree in art and teaching certificate from Morehead State University.
Janie and her husband, Jim, and two sons, Steve and John, moved to Owensboro in 1981, and Janie was "discovered" by Goldie in 1983 while doing a live radio remote show. She has been part of the Goldie's Show ever since.
She is a Realtor and also a tour coordinator for Starfinder Tours & Entertainment and enjoys hosting motorcoach tours to favorite destinations around the country. Contact Janie at Starfinder Entertainment, 270-929-2222. She would love to have you join her on a future trip.
Her hobbies are craft making, painting, and sewing (especially for her granddaughter Ruthie).
